Vijeo Citect and CitectSCADA V7.10 Service Pack 3 Now Released

This service pack has been published for download via the http://www.citect.com website for CitectSCADA and the Schneider Electric website for Vijeo products http://scadasupport.citect.com.
Installers for the SCADA, Web Server, Web Client and Internet Display Client are available in various languages for each product version below (where applicable):
  • CitectSCADA V7.10
  • CitectFacilities V7.10
  • Vijeo Citect V7.10
The NEW V7.10 Service Pack 3 includes several product updates and enhancements, providing improvements in stability, performance and functionality.
Please refer to the release notes for a full description of all of the included changes.
Testing:
Our Quality Assurance (QA) team has successfully completed a comprehensive quality assurance program of verification, regression, system and acceptance testing on V7.10 Service Pack 3, as well as system integration validation with other products including OFS, SG2, and UnityPro.
Important New Changes:
Windows 7 Compatibility
The application of the V7.10 Service Pack 3 will allow users to run the product on the Windows 7 operating system.
To run on Windows 7, please install your SCADA product using your product DVD.
Ignore any warnings that drivers may not be compatible with Windows 7 - the majority of the drivers have been tested and will function correctly.
Updated drivers stamped for Windows 7 are available for download from our DriverWeb website.
After installing the product, please install V7.10 Service Pack 3 to ensure Windows 7 compatibility.
Lastly, restore your projects and recompile to run on Windows 7.
Citect.frm file change
The Citect.frm file was necessarily modified in V7.10 Service Pack 2.
This caused issues for some users who had modified their Citect.frm file previously.
The recommended upgrade procedure is to backup all project files (including the Citect.frm file) before installing V7.10 Service Pack 3.
If you have a modified Citect.frm file, you will need to edit the new Citect.frm file to get your changes back.
Important Note: Please do not restore your old backed-up Citect.frm file or you will get errors in your project.

Installation / Uninstallation of the Service Pack
Please read the accompanying release notes for full details on all areas covered within V7.10 Service Pack 3, including known issues, as well as installation and uninstallation details.
Hot Fixes Customers who have hot fixes installed should check the release notes to ensure the applicable fix is included in V7.10 Service Pack 3 - please contact SCADA Global Support if in any doubt.
SCADA Global Support recommends V7.10 users apply the Service Pack as soon as practically possible.
This Service Pack accumulates all of the updates included in V7.10 Service Packs 1 and 2, so it is not necessary to install the older Service Packs first.
